Located 10 kilometers east of the city of Tlemcen in the town of Ain Fezza, Beni Add caves dating back about 65000 years are remarkable for their charm and their legendary beauty. They were reopened in July 2006 after their closure during the last decade.
This cave keeps very cold temperatures throughout the year. Their depth is 57 meters and reveals treasures and wonderful architectures.
According to sources, these caves lead to Boumaaza Ghar (40 kilometers away), underground water system which, according to experts, the biggest cavernous underground network known in Algeria.
It was used by the mujahideen as a refuge during the War of National Liberation and once aware of this passage, the colonial army blocked the way, says one.
